Solid product. Poor packaging. The hitch is constructed from heavy gauge steel. The paint is easy to scratch though. It arrived in a torn box with scratches and one part was bent.
Packaging not damaged, but the hitch inside it was bent. Disappointed item cost $400 for cheaply made part made in USA.

Never got it in. The bolts were too long to fish thru the boxed body with the flimsy fish wire. Will eventually go thru the trunk with 4 long bolts. Great quality hitch other than the fish wire fiasco!!!!
This hitch fit my 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid , however I had to use a couple of shorter 1 1/4 inch bolts to fit in hole B on both sides, the included bolt of 1 1/2 is to long for that hole. Also you might have to mount one side and bend/push to align holes for opposite side. takes a little force. other than these two issues product is hefty ...
Difficult install. Mediocre instructions. Once installed my exhaust taps against the tow package making a loud terrible knocking (like a Jack hammer)noise all the time. I will have to figure out a way to get the exhaust to stop hitting it.

It is a very solid hitch. It was a little difficult to align as it may have been slightly bent during shipping. The paint looks like it will last a long time and trimming the bumper was not as difficult as I'd anticipated.
This Custom fit 2" hitch receiver looks and performs great. Video instruction was easy to understand and was able to trim rear bumper for perfect fit. This DIY took us about 3-4 hours. We didn't need a jack or stands.
We use this with our bike carrier on 2011 Civic coupe.

The EcoHitch is great. Looks good tucked below my bumper. Fits perfect. I had Trucking Thunder install it. They commented that it was an easy install on my 2010 Civic. Drove away without a problem. Pulls my trailer perfectly. Totally in line no drag. You hardly know the trailer is back there. I had people comment that the Civic pulling a trailer was a waste of time and money. How wrong they were. With the EcoHitch perfectly aligned, pulling my aluminum trailer, I moved a bedroom of furniture to my storage no problems. I highly recommend the EcoHitch. I don't have a picture of the hitch, but here's what I pull with it.
The first hitch I received was bent or misaligned during manufacturing, etrailer made it right and had ecohitch ship me another that was fine, I would give it a five star rating but I had to modify the hitch because of clearance problems with the muffler
Inside the frame rails, there is a extra piece of metal inside that prevents you from stringing in the bolt through the holes in frame. Which holes? The holes closest to the back seat. This isnt mentioned in video or instructions. Thats why the video doesn't include this. Its a pain in the ass. Had to cut end cap of frame to get in there. Thats how i found out about the extra piece of metal preventing ypu from stringing in long bolts. The muffler rattles against the hitch frame thats attached to bottom side of frame rail. Highly disappointed in the hitch system. SO IN MY EXPERIENCE INSTALLING THIS HITCH WAS TERRIBLE. STUPIDLY ENGINEERED PRODUCT TO SAY THE LEAST. The one star review is a stretch. This product deserves no [stars]s

I hate to say it however this is not entirely uncommon. When the hitches are shipped to us they are shipped on large pallets which can cause the side brackets to be bent out of alignment. We do have a FAQ that can help you to still install the hitch.
